We love lacquer and are always sad when it isn’t carried through, especially in a room with millworker. If We can’t do lacquer everywhere, we’ll often opt to put a contrast texture in the form of wallpaper on the ceiling so that it doesn’t look “Boring Builder.”

Another pet peeve are hoods that don’t extend all the way up or stick out like a box hanging over your head. Even when clad in a beautiful natural stone, they always feel like a huge miss to us.
